On Thursday night, the CFL will hand out their annual awards where Toronto Argonauts QB Ricky Ray goes up against Calgary Stampeders RB Jon Cornish for the leagues Most Outstanding Player. It stops there for them, as neither man will play on Sunday for the leagues biggest prize, the 101st Grey Cup. In that title game between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Saskatchewan Roughriders, one player will stand out and be rewarded as the games Most Valuable Player. Which player will be honoured for leading his team to victory? Only one active player in this years contest has previously won the award, QB Henry Burris earned it in 2008 with the Calgary Stampeders at the 96th Grey Cup. Burris won the award in a similar circumstance to the one he will be in on Sunday, facing a team that was playing for the championship before their home crowd when his Stampeders beat the Montreal Alouettes. Could the leagues leading passer, making his triumphant return to Saskatchewan where he started his CFL career, earn his second Grey Cup MVP award? Will it be the opposing QB, Darian Durant, aiming for his first championship in three tries, this time flanked with the support of an entire province. Can he continue his hot postseason pace and have a strong performance? How about one of Durants targets? None have accomplished more in a career than the illustrious WR Geroy Simon, a two-time Grey Cup winning receiver. Could this be the one award that completes his legendary resume? Will it be Durants favourite weapon, WR Chris Getzlaf? Outside of a seven-yard touchdown pass, the receiver was fairly limited against the Stampeders in the Western Division Finals. Could he breakout in front of Rider Nation? On the other sideline, Ticats receiver WR Andy Fantuz, who wore Rider green for six seasons before bolting to the Steel City as a free agent in 2012, could catch fire in his former stadium. However, with this years game being played in wintery conditions with an expected low temperature of minus-12 C combined with winds at 15 kilometres per hour, could the two teams offensive plans be left in the hands of the running game? Will the weather permit Riders RB Kory Sheets, who has rushed for a combined 245 yards in the two playoff games heading into Sunday, to be the x-factor for his team? What about Ticats RB C.J. Gable? Can the dual-threat California native brave the cold and cap off his first CFL season in MVP fashion? How about somebody unexpected? With snow and cold weather, anything can happen on the football field. With all these players motivated to win the Grey Cup on Sunday, who will be the most valuable to their team? As always, its Your! Call. Cheap Derrick Nnadi Jersey .1 million contract. The club said that Boll will earn $950,000 in 2012-13 and $1.15 million in 2013-14. The 26-year-old Boll had two goals and one assist with 126 penalty minutes in 54 games with the Blue Jackets in 2011-12. Cheap Breeland Speaks Jersey . Fielder ended 4-for-5 with a solo homer, while Avila was 4-for-4 with two runs scored for the Tigers, who put the brakes on a three-game skid and rebounded from a loss in Mondays opener. Victor Martinez and Austin Jackson both contributed two hits, an RBI and a run scored as Detroit maintained its healthy lead atop the AL Central. According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, the deal will pay Schenn $2.25 million in the first year and $2.75 million in the second year. In 82 games with the Flyers in 2013-14, Schenn scored 20 goals and added 21 assists. Wholesale Chiefs Jerseys . The move will give Hentgen the "time needed to support his family and his fathers current health issues," the Blue Jays said in a release. Hentgen spent 10 of his 14 big-league seasons with the Blue Jays, winning a Cy Young Award in 1996. Cheap Armani Watts Jersey . Dwyane Wade followed a few days later.OAKLAND, Calif. -- Kenneth Faried made a turnaround hook shot over Draymond Green with a half-second remaining, and the Denver Nuggets made Golden State wait at least one more game to secure a playoff berth with a stunning 100-99 win over the Warriors on Thursday night. Stephen Currys floater over Faried put the Warriors up 99-98 with 4.7 seconds to play, sending the announced sellout crowd of 19,596 roaring to their feet. Faried quieted fans moments later, backing down Green for the winning shot. Currys quick 30-footer rimmed off as time expired. Timofey Mozgov tied a career high of 23 points and set a career best with 29 rebounds, and Faried finished with 18 points and 17 boards to rally the Nuggets from 20 points down in the first half. Denver, which had lost six straight on the road, won both games at Golden State this season. Curry had 24 points and seven assists, and Klay Thompson scored 21 points to highlight an otherwise disappointing performance by the Warriors. The Nuggets outrebounded Golden State 63-38 and made all the big plays late. Mozgov made a step-back jumper from 17 feet before Darrell Arthurs 3-pointer gave the Nuggets an 83-80 lead -- their first lead of the game -- with 7:52 left. After going down by five, Thompson and Curry highlighted an 8-0 spurt to put the Warriors up 93-90. Randy Foye followed with a layup and a 3-pointer to put the Nuggets in front. Thompson missed a jumper, then Faried stole a rebound from Andrew Bogut and put it back for a layup that extended Denvers lead to 97-93. Curry came back with two free throws before Faried made 1 of 2 from the line. Curry forced another foul and made both free throws shots to slice Denvers lead to 98-97 with 35.9 seconds left. Foollowing another Nuggets miss, Curry came off a screen from Green and floated a go-ahead runner over Faried with 4.dddddddddddd seconds left that seemingly put the Warriors in the playoffs. Instead, the Nuggets called timeout and went right after the undersized Green, who has been starting at power forward for the injured David Lee. Faried backed Green down and floated in a hook shot that silenced the blue-and-gold clad crowd for good. The Warriors were trying to clinch a spot in the playoffs in consecutive years for the first time since the 1990-91 and 1991-92 seasons and improve their playoff position. Instead, Golden State (48-30) fell 2 1/2 games behind fifth-place Portland with four games to play, including one at the Trail Blazers on Sunday. Golden State is 1 1/2 games ahead of Phoenix and Dallas and two ahead of Memphis. Denver, which was eliminated in Game 6 of the opening round of the playoffs at Golden State last season, made sure they didnt have to watch the Warriors celebrate against them on the same floor again. With injuries sideling six Nuggets regulars, the Warriors overwhelmed Denvers decimated team at the start to go ahead by 20 points in the second quarter. But the Nuggets came back behind Mozgov and Faried, trailing Golden State 53-43 at the half and 75-73 through three quarters before holding off the warriors in the fourth. NOTES: The Warriors missed a chance to win 49 games for the first time since winning 50 in the 1993-94 season. ... Lee missed his seventh straight game for the Warriors with a nerve injury in his right hamstring/back. The team said theres no timetable for his return. ... Denver is 2-1 against the Warriors this season. The teams meet in the regular-season finale Wednesday at Denver.
